Background Best Deliverability Email Marketing
When I asked you to name an email Marketing instrument, what would you say? Best Deliverability Email Marketing
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?

Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the marketplace, inducing long-time users to question their loyalties.

Like most email marketing providers Nowadays, you will need to Go through a review process before being able to correctly use the program.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information like your organization name, website, Industry, address, business size, list size and also the type of content you plan to send.
Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain ).
This is still part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is related to this domain so they can email you a verification link.
Once you’ve completed these Measures, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, check your Site, and determine whether you’re a good fit for their service.
(In other words, they’re making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll still be Able to use the software to make campaigns and perform with the features, but you won’t be able to send anything until accepted.
I was”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
But while these steps aren’t ideal for getting started, it Does help stop unscrupulous users from hurting everybody’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely on automations to Deal with Nearly all your email advertising.
(We’ll get to automations soon, do not worry.)
But whether it is a brand new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always some excuse to send a more instant email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Create Campaign’ will give you several choices.
– Regular effort: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Versions, including subject line, from title and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Do not start your broadcast email, with the option of altering the subject line and email content.
– RSS effort: Create a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to subscribers using your website’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few additional options, the Majority of these will follow The same step-by-step procedure of a normal effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your effort, you’ll be asked to Select a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
Otherwise, you can change to the Templates tab and choose from among the pre-designed email templates — which will move you into the dragn’ drop editor by default.
At the time of writing, there are 21 email templates to choose From which is somewhat on the low side, but the layouts are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you’d just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this example, I will select the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to use, Making viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the cubes in the sidebar to add different Kinds of articles to your email, including videos, product columns, and social connections.
After making your adjustments, simply click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be taken to the recipients’ options where you are able to select your groups or sections.
The tab also allows one To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in case your targeting isn’t quite right.
Finally, right before sending, then you’ll get into the’Program’ screen.
This is where you control if your broadcast email should go Out, whether that is immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Best Deliverability Email Marketing
Handling Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your readers is arguably among The most important aspects of any email advertising software now.
Because highly personalized campaigns Are Essential if You’re looking to increase opens, clicks, and, most importantly, your conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different strategy.
When you start up your subscriber dash, you’ll notice two Choices; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially principles.
Your readers belong to a segment only when they meet the Specified principles, and will be automatically added or eliminated accordingly.
Here is what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can even combine Principles, as well as an alternate rule if the first doesn’t exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for classes, and also the difference in name, These act much like your normal”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but finally decided against it)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — that we will get to in a moment — and they don’t have any value besides what you actually call them.
As you start to use this stage, you’ll begin to understand At which Segments and Groups are generally used, however, MailerLite delivers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments permit you to lump multiple subscribers together according to a frequent denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I will admit… but I believe it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. In any case, they are discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own fields, such as name, company, and country.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers together with Your custom field information in distinct columns… or can simply add these fields to a types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I made and added into a form:
I won’t go too much to the form Things here since I have an entire section on that below, but this is the strategy I’d recommend if you wished to use this attribute.
Again, as Soon as You’ve collected your custom field information from new Readers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I’m barely scratching the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it’s important to understand this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it’s fair to state MailerLite has their subscriber Management and personalization features on stage. Best Deliverability Email Marketing
If you’re not impressed by what you have seen so far, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, then you’ll be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Isn’t winning any awards, it will offer a great base to work from if, for example most of us, you do not have that natural eye for design.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They all finally do the same job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further build or alter your landing page.
Now, I have used my fair share of Visual page builders, and this is already better than some dedicated solutions *cough* WPBakery.
Together with the basic building blocks, you can use components like Hero segments, popup buttons, testimonials and countdown timers.
No, it won’t be replacing landing Page builders like Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all three form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite actually offers a Decent pair of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover .
Let’s begin with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then put on your website to show it on specific pages.
Despite beginning super basic, the form designer lets you To customize everything in the form style, fields, background, name, input fields and, of course, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which Provides you a chance To visualize your copy in real time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there is more to a form than just its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure the way the Form works, such as adding extra fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There’s even a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And talking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, That can replace the embedded kind and prevents users from redirecting.
Last but certainly not least, you Can check how your form screens on cellular by switching the toggle to reactive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes , but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an overview of the Embedded form but like I said before, you can even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of this installation process is identical, there are A few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth choice, they do offer a fantastic base to work from and the editor is at least as easy to use with this form type.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template takes me into a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new choices under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid programs like Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to see this level of control over popup types.
And, as before, you can perform the styling options to get it Matched up with your own branding.
Finally, you can choose the close Behaviour of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have .
That is where most email Marketing platforms will render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your campaign Statistics in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click info, Subscriber development, automation stats, and kind signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you specific reporting for this effort.
This is where you’ll find a few statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading environment, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average user…
…but in Case You really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into different areas of the report to get a more comprehensive breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also shows a click map, so It’s possible to see your readers interacted with your mails compared to one another.
Reports for automations are Accessible under the’Automations’ tab, even though I found to be less insightful than campaign reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and most will get the available statistics more than sufficient to fulfill their needs.
What is email marketing without a dash of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this review.
The good news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, then You will immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is easy, clean and easy to navigate — something which certainly can’t be said for each and every email marketing software.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding measures to your workflow.
These measures could be anything from sending an email, including a Delay, a conditional split, or an act, like transferring a contributor or updating their records.
Here’s a simple workflow I set together, where readers Are unsubscribed when they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign since it lacks a number of the conditional elements. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.)
For example, there’s currently no automation for moving Subscribers directly into another automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various groups that trigger new automation workflows. It is simply much less effective…. yet.
Another question of efficacy here is when creating new mails From the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you’ll be asked to add your subject line that appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will fire up the Writer:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the critique.
This time, but once you’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you straight back into the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Ultimately, your email address will probably be Loaded into your automation.
A Wonderful touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation cube, which means you can find an concept about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it is actually much quicker than what I’m used to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded inside the automations builder, so you’ll likely find this a downgrade in performance.
It’s fast enough for me, Personally, however I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there is one type of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and I think that it’s very important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or step) based on the way Subscribers interact with the pages on your website.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just isn’t accessible MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or intend to utilize, you might want to skip this one. Best Deliverability Email Marketing
The cost of MailerLite is undoubtedly one of those tools biggest Selling things, and let’s face it, most of us love a fantastic deal.
For starters, they offer an unlimited free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) for up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding on your mails using this program, it is still an amazing option for anyone starting out.
And what about the top plans?
It ends up, at around half of the Cost of the competition generally, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the least expensive options on the industry. Additionally, if you are ready to pay yearly, you can also get an even greater discount.
In Reality, I haven’t been able to find anything that does exactly the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of the few email advertising tools to interrupt The (very crowded) sector in recent decades, which is no simple feat.
While it’s not as quickly as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it works exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to beat.
