Introduction Bitrix24 Email Marketing
When I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Bitrix24 Email Marketing
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like most online businesses today, email marketing continues to be Dominated by the identical large players for the previous ten years. Which means that they get promoted very heavily and achieve a great deal of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, causing long-time customers to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done precisely that.

Like most email marketing providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information such as your organization name, website, Business, address, company size, list size and even the kind of material you intend to send.
Then, You Have to verify your Website (or domain ).
This is still part of this approval process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is related to this domain in order that they can email you a verification link.
Once you’ve completed these Measures, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, assess your Site, and determine whether you’re a good match for their service.
(Quite simply, they are making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to utilize the software to create campaigns and perform with the features, but you will not have the ability to send anything until accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
However, while these steps aren’t ideal for getting started, it Does help stop unscrupulous users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you are anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle Nearly all your email marketing.
(We’ll get to automations soon, don’t worry.)
But if it’s a new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always a reason to send a more immediate email.
That is where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Produce Campaign’ will provide you several options.
– Regular effort: A traditional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Versions, including subject line, from name and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Do not open your broadcast email, with the choice of changing the subject line and email articles.
– RSS campaign: Create a recurring campaign That sends new content to subscribers using your site’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few added choices, the Majority of these will follow The exact same step-by-step procedure of a normal effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your effort, you’ll be asked to Select a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can change to the Templates tab and select from one of the pre-designed email templates — that will move you to the dragn’ drop editor by default.
At the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, but the designs are super modern.
And, of course, if you’d just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I will choose the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to use, Which makes viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the cubes in the sidebar to include different Kinds of content to your email, including videos, product columns, and social connections.
After making your adjustments, just click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be carried to the recipients’ options where you can select your classes or segments.
The advanced tab also allows one To build segment-like rules on-the-fly, in case your targeting isn’t quite perfect.
Finally, before sending, you’ll get into the’Program’ screen.
This is where you control if your broadcast email should go Out, whether that’s instantly, at a set time/date, or according to your readers time zones.
Impressive, right? Bitrix24 Email Marketing
Handling Your Subscribers
Possessing granular control over your readers is arguably one of The most essential aspects of any email marketing software today.
Because highly personalized campaigns are necessary if You are searching to increase opens, clicks, and, above all, your conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll see two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically principles.
Your readers belong to a section only when they fulfill the Specified rules, and are automatically inserted or removed so.
Here is what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can even blend Principles, as well as an alternate rule if the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for groups, and despite the difference in name, These act much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it.)
Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — which we’ll get to in a minute — and they don’t have any value aside from what you call them.
As you start to use this stage, you’ll begin to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re uncertain:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate action on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to lump multiple subscribers together according to a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I will admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. In any case, they’re discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to personalize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular fields, such as name, business, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers together with Your custom field data in separate columns… or can simply add these fields to a types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I created and added to a form:
I won’t go too much to the form Stuff here since I have a whole section on that below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wished to use this feature.
Again, once you’ve collected your custom field information from fresh Readers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Custom field.
I am barely scratching the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it’s important to know that this is a feature you can use.
Overall, it is fair to state MailerLite has their contributor Management and personalization features on point. Bitrix24 Email Marketing
If you are not impressed by what you have seen so far, then perhaps The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, you will be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Is not winning any awards, it does offer a great base to work from if, for example the majority people, you do not have that pure eye for design.
I went ahead and selected the’Lead Generation’ template, however They finally do the same task; accumulate an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further build or alter your landing page.
Now, I have used my fair share of Visual page builders, and it is already better than some dedicated solutions *cough* WPBakery.
Together with the fundamental building blocks, you can use elements like Hero sections, popup buttons, testimonials and countdown timers.
It will not be replacing landing Page builders like Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all three form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite actually Provides a Decent pair of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there’s a lot to cover .
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to show it on particular pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer allows you To customize everything from the form style, subjects, background, name, input fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which gives you a chance To envision your own copy in real-time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there’s more to a form than just its appearance.
Clicking on the’Settings’ tab will Make It Possible for you to configure the way the Form functions, such as adding additional fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There’s even a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And talking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also enables you to customize the default message, Which will replace the embedded kind and prevents users from redirecting.
Last but certainly not least, you Can assess the way your form screens on cellular by switching the toggle to reactive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes , but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that’s an Summary of this Embedded form but like I said before, you can also create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of this setup process is identical, there are Still a few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded kinds, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most Comprehensive selection, they do provide a good base to work from and the editor is at least as easy to use with this form kind.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template takes me into a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new choices under form types This time around:
Considering paid tools like Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to see this amount of control over popup forms.
And, as before, you can play the styling options to get it Matched up with your branding.
Last, you can choose the close Behaviour of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text option, or have .
That is where most email Marketing platforms would render you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber development, automation stats, and kind signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you special reporting for this campaign.
This is where you’ll find some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading surroundings, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average user…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into different areas of this report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
For example, the’View Mail’ tab also shows a click map, so You can see how your readers interacted to another.
Reports for automations are also Accessible under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found these to be less enlightening than effort reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and many will find the available statistics more than enough to meet their demands.
What is email advertising without a dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could easily make or break this review.
The good news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, then You’ll immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is simple, clean and easy to navigate — something which certainly can not be said for every email marketing program.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding steps to your workflow.
These measures can be anything from sending an email, including a Delay, a bubble break, or an action, like transferring a subscriber or updating their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed when they don’t open my email within seven days.
There are countless Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite ought to not have any trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional components. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.)
For example, there’s currently no automation for transferring Readers directly into a different automation.
That being said, the Majority of these activities can Nevertheless Be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that trigger new automation workflows. It is simply much less effective…. yet.
Another question of efficacy here is when generating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After adding an email cube to The workflow, you’ll be asked to put in your topic line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Ultimately, your email will probably be Loaded into your automation.
A Wonderful touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, so it’s possible to get an idea of what it contains at a glimpse.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it’s really much faster than what I am used to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, so you will probably find that this downgrade in functionality.
It’s fast enough for me, Personally, but I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there’s one Kind of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and I think that it’s important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or step) based on how Subscribers interact with the pages on your website.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just is not accessible MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or intend to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Bitrix24 Email Marketing
The Price of MailerLite is undoubtedly one of those tools largest Selling points, and let us face it, we all love a good bargain.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) for up to 1,000 subscribers.
While There’s some subtle Branding on your mails using this plan, it’s still an amazing alternative for anyone starting out.
And what about the premium programs?
It turns out, at around half of the Price of this competition on average, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the least expensive options available on the industry. Plus, if you’re ready to pay yearly, you can also get an even greater discount.
In fact, I have not been able to find anything that does the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of the few marketing tools The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of decades, which is no simple feat.
While it’s not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
All in all, I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and at a price point you’ll seriously struggle to beat.
