If I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Email Marketing Bangla Blog
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like many online industries today, email marketing has been Dominated by the identical large players for the previous decade. Which means they get encouraged very deeply and achieve a lot of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the marketplace, causing long-time users to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done precisely that.
So now, in this review, I’ll be tearing MailerLite from limb To limb to see whether it really stands its ground against the big boys…

Like most email advertising providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to correctly use the program.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information such as your organization name, website, Industry, address, company size, record size and also the kind of material you plan to send.
Then, You Have to verify your Website (or domain ).
This is still part of the acceptance process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is associated to that domain so they can email you a verification link.
As Soon as You’ve completed these Measures, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, check your Website, and ascertain whether you are a good fit for their service.
(Quite simply, they are making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll still be Able to utilize the software to create campaigns and play with the attributes, but you will not be able to send anything before accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limitation of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
But while these measures aren’t ideal for getting started, it Does help prevent malicious users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle The majority of your email marketing.
(We will get to automations shortly, don’t worry.)
But if it is a brand new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always some excuse to send a more immediate email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Create Campaign’ will give you several options.
– Regular campaign: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Versions, including subject line, from name and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Don’t start your broadcast email, together with the option of altering the subject line and email content.
– RSS campaign: Create a recurring campaign That sends new content to subscribers using your website’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few additional options, most of these will follow Exactly the same step-by-step procedure of a standard effort.
So let us walk you through it.
Once you click to create your campaign, you’ll be asked to Pick a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
Otherwise, you can change to the Templates tab and choose from among their pre-designed email templates — that will move you to the dragn’ drop editor by default.
In the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, however, the layouts are super modern.
And, of course, if you’d just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I’ll select the first template in the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Which makes customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the blocks in the sidebar to add distinct Types of articles to your email, including videos, merchandise columns, and societal links.
After making your adjustments, just click’Done Editing’ and you will Be taken to the recipients’ choices where you can choose your classes or sections.
The advanced tab also allows you To develop segment-like rules , in the event your targeting isn’t quite right.
Finally, right before sending, then you’ll get to the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control if your broadcast email should go Out, whether that is instantly, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your readers time zones.
Impressive, right? Email Marketing Bangla Blog
Handling Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your subscribers is arguably one of The most essential aspects of any email advertising program now.
Because highly personalized campaigns are necessary if You are looking to increase opens, clicks, and, above all, your own conversions.
And while most providers Permit You to”tag” subscribers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dashboard, you’ll notice two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially principles.
Your subscribers belong to a section only when they fulfill the Specified rules, and are automatically inserted or removed so.
Here’s what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice how you can also blend Principles, in addition to an alternate rule when the first doesn’t exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for classes, and also the difference in title, These behave much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it)
Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — which we will get into in a minute — and they have no value aside from what you actually call them.
As you start to use this stage, you’ll begin to understand Where Segments and Groups are generally used, but MailerLite offers a hand in the event you’re unsure:
Fundamentally, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to lump multiple subscribers collectively based on a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I’ll admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. Besides, they are discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own fields, such as title, company, and nation.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your subscribers together with Your custom field data in distinct columns… or can easily add these fields to your types which will only apply to prospective readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I made and added to a form:
I will not go too much into the shape Stuff here because I have an entire section on this below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wished to use this feature.
Again, as Soon as You’ve collected your custom field information from new Subscribers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Custom field.
I am barely scraping the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it’s important to know that this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it’s fair to say MailerLite has their subscriber Management and personalization features on stage. Email Marketing Bangla Blog
If you are not impressed with what you have seen up to Now, then perhaps The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, then you’ll be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Isn’t winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic base to work from if, for example most people, you do not have that natural eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, though They ultimately do the same job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further build or alter your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual page builders, and this is already better than a few dedicated solutions *cough* WPBakery.
Along with the fundamental building blocks, you can use components like Hero sections, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
No, it will not be replacing landing Page builders like Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime soon, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all 3 kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite actually offers a Adequate pair of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there is a lot to cover here.
Let’s begin with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to display it on specific pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer lets you To customize everything in the form style, fields, background, name, enter fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which gives you a chance To visualize your backup in real-time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates here, but as you know, there’s more to some form than simply its appearance.
Clicking on the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure the way the Form works, such as adding additional fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There’s a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And talking of the success page…
…MailerLite also enables you to customize the default message, That can replace the embedded form also prevents users from redirecting.
Last but surely not least, you Can assess how your form displays on cellular by switching the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes here, but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that’s an overview of the Embedded form but as I said before, you can even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the Vast Majority of this installation process is identical, there are A few differences I’d like to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth choice, they do provide a good foundation to work from and the editor is just as simple to use with this form type.
Clicking on the’E-commerce’ template takes me into a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new options under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid tools like Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to observe this amount of control over popup forms.
And, as before, you can play the styling options to get it Matched with your own branding.
Finally, you can Select the close Behavior of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have .
That is really where most email Marketing platforms will render you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click data, Subscriber growth, automation stats, and kind signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you special coverage for this campaign.
This is where you’ll discover some more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average consumer…
…but in Case You really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into individual areas of this report for a more comprehensive breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
By Way of Example, the’View Mail’ tab also shows a click map, so You can see how your subscribers interacted to another.
Reports for automations will also be Accessible under the’Automations’ tab, though I found these to be less insightful than effort reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and most will get the available data more than enough to fulfill their needs.
What’s email advertising without a dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could easily make or break this review.
The great news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, You’ll instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is simple, clean and easy to navigate — something which certainly can’t be said for every email advertising program.
After establishing your trigger, you can Start adding measures to your workflow.
These measures could be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a conditional split, or an action, like transferring a contributor or upgrading their records.
Here’s a simple workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are innumerable Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite ought to have no trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign since it lacks a number of the conditional components. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s now no automation for moving Subscribers directly into a different automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different classes that activate new automation workflows. It’s simply much less effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficiency here is when creating new mails From the automation workflow builder.
After adding an email cube to The workflow, you will be asked to add your subject line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the critique.
This time, but once you’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you straight back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Finally, your email address will probably be Loaded into your automation.
A Wonderful touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation cube, which means it’s possible to get an idea of what it contains at a glance.
While this process may seem like A grind on paper, it is really much quicker than what I’m utilized to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you have come over from something like ConvertKit where The editor is loaded inside the automations builder, so you’ll likely find that this downgrade in functionality.
It’s fast enough for me, Personally, however I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there is 1 Kind of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and that I think it’s important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or step) based on the way Readers interact with all the webpages on your site.
This kind of behavioral targeting only isn’t available in MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or plan to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Email Marketing Bangla Blog
The Price of MailerLite is one of the tools biggest Selling things, and let’s face it, most of us love a fantastic deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) to get as many as 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your mails using this program, it’s still an wonderful option for anyone starting out.
And what about the premium programs?
It turns out, at around half the Price of this competition generally, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the least expensive options available on the industry. Plus, if you are willing to pay annually, you can also get an even better discount.
In fact, I have not been able to locate anything that does the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among those very few marketing tools to interrupt The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of decades, which is no simple feat.
While it’s not as quickly as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
Overall, I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to conquer.
