Introduction Mailerlite Facebook
When I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Mailerlite Facebook
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like most online businesses now, email marketing has been Dominated by the identical large players for the last ten years. Which means they get promoted very heavily and achieve a lot of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the marketplace, causing long-time customers to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done exactly that.

Like most email advertising providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to correctly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information like your organization name, site, Business, address, business size, list size and even the kind of content you intend to send.
Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain ).
This is still part of this approval process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is related to this domain in order that they can email you a verification link.
As Soon as You’ve completed these Steps, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, check your Site, and ascertain whether you are a fantastic match for their service.
(In other words, they’re making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)
As revealed above, you’ll still be Able to utilize the software to create campaigns and perform with the attributes, but you won’t have the ability to send anything until approved.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limitation of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
However, while these measures are not perfect for getting started, it Does help prevent unscrupulous users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely on automations to handle The majority of your email advertising.
(We will get to automations shortly, don’t worry.)
But whether it is a new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there is always a reason to send a more instant email.
That is where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Create Campaign’ will give you several options.
– Regular campaign: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Versions, such as subject line, from title and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to readers who Don’t start your broadcast email, with the option of altering the subject line and email articles.
– RSS effort: Produce a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to readers using your website’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few added options, most of these will follow The same step-by-step process of a standard campaign.
So let us walk you through it.
As Soon as You click on to create your campaign, you’ll be asked to Pick a preferred editor, whether that be the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can switch to the Templates tab and choose from one of the pre-designed email templates — that will move you to the dragn’ drop editor .
At the time of writing, there are 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, but the designs are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you would just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I will choose the first template in the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Making customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the blocks in the sidebar to include distinct Types of content to your email, such as videos, product columns, and societal links.
After making your adjustments, simply click’Done Editing’ and you will Be taken to the recipients’ options where you are able to select your classes or segments.
The advanced tab also allows one To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting is not quite right.
Finally, before sending, then you’ll get into the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control if your broadcast email should go Out, whether that’s instantly, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Mailerlite Facebook
Managing Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your subscribers is arguably one of The most important aspects of any email marketing software now.
Because highly personalized efforts are necessary if You’re searching to increase opens, clicks, and, above all, your own conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”tag” readers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different strategy.
When you start up your subscriber dash, you’ll notice two Choices; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially principles.
Your subscribers belong to a section only when they fulfill the Specified principles, and will be automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here’s what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice how you can even blend Principles, as well as an alternate rule when the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for groups, and despite the difference in title, These act much like your normal”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it.)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — which we will get to in a moment — and they have no value aside from what you call them.
As you Begin to use this platform, you’ll begin to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite delivers a hand in the event you’re uncertain:
Fundamentally, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments permit you to lump multiple subscribers collectively according to a frequent denominator.
A tad confusing, I will admit… but I feel it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. Besides, they are discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular areas, such as title, company, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your readers along with Your custom field data in separate columns… or can simply add these fields to your forms which will only apply to prospective readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I made and added to a form:
I won’t go too much into the form Stuff here since I have a whole section on that below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.
Again, as Soon as You’ve collected your custom field information from new Subscribers, you can pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Customized field.
I’m barely scraping the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it’s important that you understand this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it’s reasonable to state MailerLite has their subscriber Direction and personalization features on point. Mailerlite Facebook
If you’re not impressed with what you’ve seen up to Now, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, then you will be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Is not winning any awards, it does offer a fantastic base to work from if, like most people, you do not have that natural eye for design.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, though They ultimately do the same job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further construct or alter your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual site builders, and it is already better than a few dedicated alternatives *cough* WPBakery.
Together with the fundamental building blocks, you can use components like Hero sections, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
It will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime soon, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all three kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite really offers a Adequate pair of type building tools.
Also, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there is a lot to cover here.
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then put on your website to show it on specific pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer lets you To personalize everything from the form style, fields, background, name, enter fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text can also be edited directly, which Provides you a Opportunity To visualize your backup in real-time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there is more to a form than simply its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will Make It Possible for you to configure how the Form works, such as adding additional fields and setting a custom success page.
(There’s a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, That can replace the embedded kind also prevents users from redirecting.
Last but certainly not least, you Can assess how your form screens on mobile by shifting the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t Have the Ability to make any layout changes here, but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that’s an overview of the Embedded form but like I said before, you may even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of this setup process is identical, you will find A few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth choice, they do provide a good base to work from and the editor is at least as easy to use with this form type.
Clicking on the’E-commerce’ template requires me to a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new options under form types This time around:
Considering paid programs like Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to observe this level of control over popup types.
And, as before, you can play with the styling options to get it Matched up with your own branding.
Finally, you can Select the near Behaviour of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have both.
This is where most email Marketing platforms would leave you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber development, automation stats, and form signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific reporting for that campaign.
This is where you’ll discover some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying surroundings, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary user…
…but in Case You really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into different areas of the report to get a more comprehensive breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also displays a click map, so It’s possible to see exactly how your readers interacted to another.
Reports for automations will also be Available under the’Automations’ tab, although I found to be less insightful than effort reports.
Here’s a Fast example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and most will find the available statistics more than sufficient to fulfill their demands.
What is email advertising with no dash of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this particular review.
The great news? If you’ve ever used a visual workflow builder, You’ll immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is simple, clean and easy to navigate — something which certainly can not be said for every email advertising program.
After setting your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These steps can be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a conditional split, or an action, such as moving a contributor or updating their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within 7 days.
There are innumerable Possibilities in regards to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For example, there’s currently no automation for transferring Readers directly into another automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can Nevertheless Be achieved by moving Subscribers into various groups that trigger new automation workflows. It’s simply not as efficient…. yet.
Another matter of efficiency here is when generating new mails From the automation workflow builder.
After adding an email cube to The workflow, you’ll be asked to add your topic line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the review.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you straight back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Finally, your email will be Loaded into your automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation cube, so you can get an idea about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it is really much quicker than what I’m used to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, you’ll probably find this a downgrade in functionality.
It is fast enough for me, Personally, but I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there’s one Kind of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and that I think that it’s important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or measure ) based on the way Subscribers interact with all the webpages on your website.
This kind of behavioral targeting only is not available in MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or plan to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Mailerlite Facebook
The Price of MailerLite is one of the tools largest Selling points, and let’s face it, most of us love a fantastic deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) for up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your mails using this program, it’s still an wonderful option for anyone starting out.
And what about the premium plans?
It turns out, at around half the Price of this rivalry on average, MailerLite is by far one of the cheapest options available on the industry. Additionally, if you are willing to pay annually, you are also able to get a much greater discount.
In fact, I haven’t been able to find anything that does exactly the same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among the few marketing tools to disrupt The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of decades, which is no easy feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it works exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the best balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to beat.
Thinking of giving it a twist? Let us know how it works for you In the comments. Mailerlite Facebook
