Background Mailerlite Vilnius
When I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Mailerlite Vilnius
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like many online industries now, email marketing continues to be Dominated by the same large players for the previous decade. Which means they get promoted very heavily and achieve a lot of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, causing long-time customers to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done exactly that.
So today, in this review, I’ll be ripping MailerLite from limb To limb to find out if it really stands its own ground against the big boys…
…and, more importantly, whether youshould consider making the change.

Like most email advertising providers Nowadays, you will need to Go through a review process before being able to correctly use the program.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information like your organization name, website, Business, address, company size, record size and also the kind of material you plan to send.
Then, you need to confirm your Website (or domain ).
This remains part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is related to that domain so they can email you a confirmation link.
Once you’ve completed these Measures, you ought to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, assess your Website, and determine whether you are a good match for their service.
(Quite simply, they are making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)
As revealed above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to utilize the software to make campaigns and perform with the attributes, but you won’t have the ability to send anything until accepted.
I was”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
But while these measures are not perfect for getting started, it Does help prevent unscrupulous users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you are anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle The majority of your email advertising.
(We will get to automations soon, don’t worry.)
But if it’s a brand new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there is always some excuse to send a more instant email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Produce Campaign’ will give you several options.
– Regular effort: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Variations, such as subject line, from name and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to readers who Do not open your broadcast email, together with the option of altering the subject line and email articles.
– RSS effort: Create a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to readers using your website’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few additional options, most of these will follow Exactly the exact same step-by-step process of a normal campaign.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your effort, you’ll be requested to Select a favorite editor, whether that be the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can switch to the Templates tab and choose from one of their pre-designed email templates — that will move you into the dragn’ drop editor .
In the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is somewhat on the low side, but the layouts are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you would just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this example, I’ll select the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Making viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also use the blocks in the sidebar to add different Kinds of content to your email, such as videos, product columns, and societal connections.
After making your adjustments, simply click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be taken to the recipients’ options where you are able to select your groups or segments.
The advanced tab also allows one To build segment-like rules on-the-fly, in case your targeting isn’t quite right.
Finally, right before sending, then you’ll get to the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, whether that is immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your readers time zones.
Impressive, right? Mailerlite Vilnius
Handling Your Subscribers
Possessing granular control over your readers is arguably one of The most important facets of any email advertising software today.
Because highly personalized efforts Are Essential if You are looking to increase opens, clicks, and, most importantly, your conversions.
And while most providers Permit You to”tag” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different strategy.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll see two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially rules.
Your readers belong to a segment only when they fulfill the Specified rules, and are automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here is what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can even combine Principles, in addition to another rule when the first doesn’t exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for groups, and despite the difference in name, These behave much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it)
Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or via an Automation rule — that we’ll get to in a moment — and they have no value besides what you call them.
As you Begin to use this platform, you’ll Start to understand At which Segments and Groups are generally used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate action on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments allow you to bulge multiple contributors together based on a common denominator.
Somewhat confusing, I will admit… but I feel it is a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. In any case, they’re discretionary.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this area with their particular areas, such as name, business, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your readers along with Your custom field data in separate columns… or may easily add these fields to a types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I made and added into a form:
I will not go too much to the shape Things here since I have a whole section on this below, but this is the strategy I’d recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.
Again, as Soon as You’ve gathered your custom field data from fresh Readers, you can pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I’m barely scratching the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it’s important to understand that this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it is fair to state MailerLite has their contributor Management and personalization features on point. Mailerlite Vilnius
If you’re not impressed with what you’ve seen so far, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, then you will be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Isn’t winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic foundation to work from if, for example the majority of us, you don’t have that pure eye for design.
I went ahead and selected the’Lead Generation’ template, though They all ultimately do the identical job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will give you 17 building blocks to Further construct or change your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual page builders, and this is already better than some dedicated solutions *cough* WPBakery.
Together with the fundamental building blocks, you can use elements like Hero sections, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
It will not be replacing landing Page builders like Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all 3 kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite really Provides a Decent pair of type building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover .
Let’s begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to show it on specific pages.
Despite starting off super basic, the form designer allows you To customize everything in the kind style, fields, background, title, enter fields and, of course, the button.
Form text can also be edited directly, which Provides you a chance To envision your own backup in real-time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there’s more to a form than simply its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will Make It Possible for you to configure the way the Form works, such as adding additional fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There is a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success page…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, Which will replace the embedded form and prevents users from redirecting.
Last but certainly not least, you Can check the way your form screens on cellular by switching the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes , but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an Summary of this Embedded form but like I said before, you may also create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the Vast Majority of the installation Procedure is identical, there are A few differences I’d like to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth selection, they do offer a fantastic base to work from and the editor is just as easy to use for this form type.
Clicking on the’E-commerce’ template takes me into a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new choices under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid tools such as Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to see this amount of control over popup forms.
And, as before, you can play with the styling options to get it Matched up with your own branding.
Last, you can choose the close Behavior of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap this out for A”No thanks” text choice, or have both.
This is where most email Marketing platforms will render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your campaign Data in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click data, Subscriber growth, automation analytics, and kind signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you special coverage for this effort.
This is where you’ll discover a few statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading environment, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into individual areas of this report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also shows a click map, so You can see precisely how your readers interacted with your emails in relation to one another.
Reports for automations are Accessible under the’Automations’ tab, though I found these to be less enlightening than campaign reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and most will get the available statistics more than enough to fulfill their needs.
What is email marketing without a dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this review.
The great news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, then You’ll immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is easy, clean and easy to navigate — something that certainly can not be said for each and every email advertising program.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding steps to your workflow.
These measures could be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a bubble break, or an action, like transferring a subscriber or upgrading their records.
Here’s a simple workflow I set together, where readers Are unsubscribed when they don’t open my email within seven days.
There are innumerable Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Go To, Goal, etc.. )
For example, there’s now no automation for transferring Readers directly into another automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different groups that activate new automation workflows. It’s simply not as effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficiency here is when generating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email block to The workflow, you will be asked to add your topic line which then appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Writer:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, once you’ve created your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you back into the automations workflow instead of the usual sending alternatives.
Ultimately, your email address will be Loaded into your own automation.
A Wonderful touch here is having a thumbnail preview of your Email within your automation block, which means you can find an idea about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on newspaper, it is actually much quicker than what I am used to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, you will probably find that this downgrade in performance.
It’s quick enough for me, Personally, however I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there is 1 type of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, and I think that it’s very important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or measure ) based on the way Subscribers interact with the webpages on your website.
This kind of behavioral targeting only isn’t accessible MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or plan to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Mailerlite Vilnius
The Price of MailerLite is no doubt one of those tools largest Selling points, and let’s face it, we all love a good bargain.
For starters, they offer an unlimited free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) to get up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding on your emails using this program, it is still an wonderful option for those starting out.
And what about the premium plans?
It ends up, at around half the Price of the competition on average, MailerLite is by far among the least expensive options on the industry. Additionally, if you’re willing to pay yearly, you are also able to get a much better discount.
In fact, I haven’t been able to find anything that does exactly the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of the very few advertising tools to interrupt The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of years, which is no simple feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it works exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and at a price point you’ll seriously struggle to beat.
Thinking of giving it a twist? Let us know how it works for you From the remarks. Mailerlite Vilnius
