Intro Mailerlite White Label
When I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Mailerlite White Label
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like many online businesses today, email marketing continues to be Dominated by the same big players for the previous ten years. Which means they get encouraged very deeply and accomplish a lot of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, causing long-time users to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done exactly that.
So today, in this short article, I’ll be ripping MailerLite from limb To limb to see if it stands its ground against the big boys…

Like most email marketing providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the program.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information such as your company name, website, Business, address, company size, record size and also the kind of material you intend to send.
Then, You Have to confirm your Website (or domain name).
This is still part of this acceptance process, and MailerLite will Simply ask which email is related to this domain in order that they can email you a verification link.
Once you’ve completed those Measures, you ought to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, check your Website, and determine whether you are a fantastic match for their service.
(Quite simply, they’re making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to utilize the software to make campaigns and perform with the features, but you won’t have the ability to send anything until accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
But while these measures are not perfect for getting started, it Does help stop unscrupulous users from hurting everybody’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle Nearly all your email marketing.
(We’ll get to automations soon, don’t worry.)
But if it’s a brand new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always some excuse to send a more immediate email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Create Campaign’ will provide you several choices.
– Regular campaign: A traditional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Variations, such as subject line, from name and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Don’t open your broadcast email, with the choice of changing the subject line and email content.
– RSS effort: Produce a recurring campaign That sends new content to readers using your website’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few added options, most of these will follow Exactly the exact same step-by-step procedure of a normal effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your effort, you’ll be asked to Select a preferred editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
Otherwise, you can change to the Templates tab and select from among their pre-designed email templates — that will move you into the dragn’ drop editor .
At the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to select From which is somewhat on the low side, but the designs are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you’d just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this example, I will choose the first template in the library.
The editor is easy to use, Which makes customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also use the cubes in the sidebar to add different Kinds of content to your email, including videos, merchandise columns, and societal links.
After making your changes, just click’Done Editing’ and you will Be carried to the recipients’ choices where you can select your classes or segments.
The tab also allows one To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting isn’t quite perfect.
Finally, before sending, then you’ll get to the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, if that is instantly, at a set time/date, or according to your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Mailerlite White Label
Managing Your Subscribers
Possessing granular control over your subscribers is arguably among The most essential aspects of any email marketing software now.
Because highly personalized efforts Are Essential if You’re searching to increase opens, clicks, and, above all, your conversions.
And while many providers allow you to”label” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different strategy.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll see two Choices; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically principles.
Your readers belong to a segment only when they meet the Specified principles, and will be automatically inserted or eliminated accordingly.
Here’s what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can even combine Principles, as well as another rule when the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for classes, and also the difference in title, These act much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but ultimately decided against it.)
Unlike Segments, Groups are updated manually or via an Automation rule — which we’ll get into in a minute — and they have no value besides what you call them.
As you Begin to use this stage, you’ll begin to understand Where Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Fundamentally, groups are more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to lump multiple subscribers collectively based on a common denominator.
A tad confusing, I will admit… but I believe it is a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. Besides, they are discretionary.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular areas, such as title, business, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers along with Your custom field information in separate columns… or may easily add these fields to a types which will only apply to prospective readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I created and added to a form:
I will not go too much to the form Things here because I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this feature.
Again, as Soon as You’ve collected your custom field information from new Subscribers, you can pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click on the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Custom field.
I’m barely scraping the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it is important to understand this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it’s reasonable to state MailerLite has their subscriber Direction and personalization features on stage. Mailerlite White Label
If you’re not impressed with what you have seen up to Now, then maybe The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, you will be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Isn’t winning any awards, it will offer a great base to work from if, for example most of us, you do not have that natural eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They all ultimately do the identical job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will give you 17 building blocks to Further construct or alter your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual page builders, and it is already better than some dedicated alternatives *cough* WPBakery.
Together with the basic building blocks, you can use components like Hero sections, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
It won’t be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this item over-delivers on all 3 kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite actually offers a Adequate pair of type building tools.
Also, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover here.
Let’s begin with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your site to display it on particular pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer lets you To personalize everything from the form style, subjects, background, title, enter fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text can also be edited directly, which Provides you a Opportunity To visualize your backup in real-time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there is more to a form than simply its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure how the Form works, including adding additional fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There is a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And talking of the success page…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, That can replace the embedded form also prevents users .
Last but certainly not least, you Can assess the way your form screens on mobile by switching the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t Have the Ability to make any design changes , but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an overview of this Embedded form but like I said before, you can also create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of this installation Procedure is identical, you will find Still a few differences I’d like to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth selection, they do provide a good foundation to work from and the editor is at least as easy to use with this form type.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template takes me to a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new choices under form types Now around:
Contemplating paid programs such as Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to observe this level of control over popup forms.
And, as before, you can perform with the styling options to get it Matched up with your own branding.
Finally, you can Select the close Behaviour of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text option, or have .
This is where most email Marketing platforms will leave you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the main dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click info, Subscriber development, automation stats, and form signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific reporting for that effort.
This is where you’ll discover a few statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, studying environment, email client and much more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into different areas of the report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also displays a click map, so You can see your subscribers interacted to another.
Reports for automations are Available under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found to be less insightful than effort reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and many will find the available statistics more than enough to fulfill their needs.
What’s email advertising with no dashboard of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could easily make or break this review.
The great news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, You will instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is easy, clean and easy to navigate — something that certainly can’t be said for each and every email advertising program.
After setting your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These measures can be anything from sending an email, adding a Delay, a bubble break, or an act, such as moving a subscriber or upgrading their records.
Here’s a simple workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within seven days.
There are countless Possibilities in regards to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign since it lacks some of the conditional components. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s currently no automation for moving Subscribers directly into a different automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into different classes that trigger new automation workflows. It’s simply much less effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficacy here is when generating new emails In the automation workflow builder.
After adding an email block to The workflow, you will be asked to add your subject line that then appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will fire up the Writer:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the review.
This time, however, once you’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you back to the automations workflow rather than the usual sending options.
Finally, your email will probably be Loaded into your own automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, which means it’s possible to get an concept about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on paper, it’s actually much quicker than what I’m used to with other email advertising tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded inside the automations builder, you will likely find that this downgrade in functionality.
It’s fast enough for me, Personally, however I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there is one type of automation You will not find in MailerLite, and I think that it’s important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or measure ) based on how Readers interact with the webpages on your site.
This kind of behavioral targeting just isn’t accessible MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or plan to use, you may want to skip this one. Mailerlite White Label
The Price of MailerLite is one of the tools largest Selling points, and let’s face it, we all love a fantastic bargain.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All features (including premium) for up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your mails using this plan, it is still an wonderful alternative for anyone starting out.
And what about the top programs?
It turns out, at around half of the Price of this competition generally, MailerLite is by far among the cheapest options on the industry. Additionally, if you’re ready to pay yearly, you are also able to get an even greater discount.
In fact, I haven’t been able to locate anything that does exactly the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among the very few advertising tools to interrupt The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of decades, and that’s no easy feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and at a price point you’ll seriously struggle to conquer.
Thinking about giving it a spin? Let us know how it works for you From the remarks. Mailerlite White Label
