Introduction Mailerlite Woocommerce
When I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what could you say? Mailerlite Woocommerce
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like many online businesses today, email advertising has been Dominated by the identical big players for the previous ten years. Which means they get encouraged very deeply and achieve a lot of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the marketplace, causing long-time customers to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done precisely that.
So now, in this review, I’ll be tearing MailerLite from limb To limb to find out whether it really stands its ground against the big boys…

Like most email marketing providers these days, you will need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the program.
When you first sign up, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information like your company name, website, Industry, address, company size, list size and even the type of content you intend to send.
Then, You Have to confirm your Website (or domain name).
This is still part of this approval process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is related to this domain in order that they could email you a confirmation link.
Once you’ve completed those Steps, you ought to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, assess your Site, and determine whether you’re a good fit for their services.
(In other words, they’re making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As revealed above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to use the software to create campaigns and play with the features, but you will not have the ability to send anything until accepted.
I was”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limitation of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
But while these measures are not perfect for getting started, it Does help stop malicious users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you are anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle Nearly all your email advertising.
(We’ll get to automations soon, do not worry.)
But whether it is a new blog post, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always a reason to send a more immediate email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Create Campaign’ will give you several options.
– Regular campaign: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split effort: Multiple email Variations, such as subject line, from name and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to readers who Do not start your broadcast email, together with the option of changing the subject line and email articles.
– RSS campaign: Create a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to readers using your site’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few additional choices, the Majority of these will follow The same step-by-step process of a normal campaign.
So let’s walk you through it.
As Soon as You click to create your campaign, you’ll be requested to Select a preferred editor, whether that be the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can switch to the Templates tab and select from one of the pre-designed email templates — that will move you into the dragn’ drop editor by default.
In the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, however, the layouts are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you’d just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I’ll select the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to use, Making customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the blocks in the sidebar to add different Types of content to your email, including videos, product columns, and social links.
After making your adjustments, simply click’Done Editing’ and you will Be taken to the recipients’ choices where you can choose your groups or sections.
The advanced tab also allows you To build segment-like rules , in the event your targeting is not quite right.
Finally, right before sending, then you’ll get to the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control if your broadcast email should go Out, whether that is instantly, at a set time/date, or according to your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Mailerlite Woocommerce
Managing Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your readers is arguably one of The most essential facets of any email marketing software now.
Because highly personalized efforts Are Essential if You’re looking to increase clicks, opens, and, most importantly, your own conversions.
And while most providers Permit You to”label” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll notice two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically rules.
Your subscribers belong to a segment only when they meet the Specified rules, and will be automatically added or eliminated so.
Here’s what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can even blend Rules, as well as an alternate rule if the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for groups, and also the difference in name, These behave much like your normal”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but finally decided against it.)
Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation principle — which we’ll get to in a minute — and they have no value aside from what you call them.
As you start to use this platform, you’ll Start to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite delivers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Fundamentally, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments permit you to lump multiple subscribers collectively according to a common denominator.
A tad confusing, I will admit… but I feel it is a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. In any case, they’re optional.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to personalize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular areas, such as name, company, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your readers along with Your custom field data in distinct columns… or can simply add these fields to your forms which will only apply to prospective readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test area I made and added to a form:
I will not go too much into the form Stuff here because I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.
Again, as Soon as You’ve collected your custom field data from fresh Subscribers, you can pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and choose your Custom field.
I am barely scratching the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it is important that you understand that this is a feature you can use.
Overall, it is reasonable to state MailerLite has their contributor Management and personalization features on stage. Mailerlite Woocommerce
If you are not impressed by what you’ve seen up to Now, then maybe The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, then you will be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Isn’t winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic foundation to work from if, like most people, you don’t have that natural eye for layout.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, though They ultimately do the identical task; accumulate an email address.
This time, the editor will give you 17 building blocks to Further construct or change your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual site builders, and this is already better than some dedicated solutions *Infection * WPBakery.
Together with the fundamental building blocks, you can use elements like Hero sections, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
It will not be replacing landing Page builders like Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all 3 form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite really Provides a Adequate set of type building tools.
Also, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there is a lot to cover .
Let us start with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your website to display it on specific pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer lets you To personalize everything in the kind style, subjects, background, name, enter fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text can also be edited directly, which Provides you a Opportunity To envision your own backup in real time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates here, but as you know, there’s more to a form than simply its physical appearance.
Clicking on the’Settings’ tab will Make It Possible for you to configure how the Form works, including adding additional fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There is a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, Which can replace the embedded form also prevents users .
Last but surely not least, you Can assess the way your form screens on cellular by shifting the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes here, but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an overview of the Embedded form but as I said before, you can even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the Vast Majority of this setup Procedure is identical, there are A few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth choice, they do offer a good foundation to work from and the editor is just as simple to use with this form type.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template requires me to a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new choices under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid programs like Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to see this amount of control over popup forms.
And, as before, you can perform the styling options to get it Matched with your own branding.
Last, you can Select the close Behavior of your type under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have both.
This is where most email Marketing platforms will leave you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Statistics in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click info, Subscriber development, automation analytics, and kind signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you special reporting for that campaign.
This is where you’ll discover some more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading environment, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the average user…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, it is possible to click into individual areas of the report to get a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
By Way of Example, the’View Mail’ tab also displays a click map, so You can see your subscribers interacted with your emails in relation to another.
Reports for automations are also Available under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found to be less enlightening than campaign reports.
Here’s a Fast example:
Overall, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting port, and most will get the available data more than sufficient to meet their needs.
What’s email advertising with no dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this review.
The good news? If you have ever used a visual workflow builder, You will instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is easy, clean and simple to navigate — something that certainly can not be said for every email marketing software.
After setting your trigger, you can begin adding steps to your workflow.
These steps can be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a bubble break, or an act, like moving a contributor or updating their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they don’t open my email within seven days.
There are countless Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it’s not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign since it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.)
For Instance, there’s now no automation for transferring Readers directly into a different automation.
That being said, the Majority of these activities can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various groups that activate new automation workflows. It’s just much less effective…. yet.
Another question of efficiency here is when generating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you will be asked to add your topic line which then appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking on the’Design email’ button will fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the review.
This time, however, once you’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you back into the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Finally, your email address will be Loaded into your own automation.
A nice touch here is having a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, so it’s possible to find an idea about what it contains at a glance.
While this process may seem like A grind on newspaper, it’s actually much faster than what I’m utilized to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you have come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, you will probably find that this downgrade in performance.
It’s quick enough for me, Personally, but I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there is 1 type of automation You will not find in MailerLite, also that I think it’s very important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or measure ) based on the way Subscribers interact with all the webpages on your site.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just is not accessible MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or plan to utilize, you may want to skip this one. Mailerlite Woocommerce
The cost of MailerLite is no doubt among those tools biggest Selling points, and let us face it, most of us love a fantastic deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All attributes (including premium) for up to 1,000 subscribers.
While There’s some subtle Branding in your emails using this plan, it’s still an wonderful alternative for those starting out.
And what about the top programs?
It turns out, at around half the Price of this rivalry generally, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the least expensive options on the market. Additionally, if you are willing to pay yearly, you can also get an even better discount.
In fact, I haven’t been able to locate anything that does the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among the very few advertising tools to interrupt The (very crowded) sector in the last couple of decades, which is no simple feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and all at a price point you’ll seriously struggle to conquer.
Thinking about giving it a twist? Let us know how it works for you In the remarks. Mailerlite Woocommerce
