If I asked you to name an email Marketing tool, what would you say? Miller Lite Beer Calories
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?

Like most email marketing providers these days, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to finish your profile.
This includes information like your company name, site, Industry, address, business size, list size and even the type of material you intend to send.
Then, You Have to verify your Site (or domain ).
This remains part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is associated to this domain so they could email you a confirmation link.
As Soon as You’ve completed those Steps, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, check your Site, and determine whether you’re a good match for their service.
(Quite simply, they’re making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll still be Able to use the software to make campaigns and play with the features, but you will not have the ability to send anything until accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here’s what the email said:
However, while these measures are not ideal for getting started, it Does help prevent malicious users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you are anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to handle Nearly all your email advertising.
(We will get to automations shortly, don’t worry.)
But whether it is a new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always some excuse to send a more instant email.
That’s where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the brand new’Produce Campaign’ will give you several choices.
– Regular effort: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Variations, such as subject line, from name and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Don’t start your broadcast email, together with the option of changing the subject line and email articles.
– RSS effort: Produce a recurring campaign That sends fresh content to subscribers using your website’s RSS feed.
Apart from a few added options, the Majority of these will follow The same step-by-step procedure of a standard effort.
So let us walk you through it.
Once you click on to create your campaign, you’ll be asked to Select a preferred editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can change to the Templates tab and select from among the pre-designed email templates — which will move you to the dragn’ drop editor by default.
At the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, however, the layouts are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you would just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I will choose the first template in the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Which makes viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the cubes in the sidebar to add different Kinds of articles to your email, such as videos, merchandise columns, and social links.
After making your adjustments, simply click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be taken to the recipients’ options where you are able to choose your classes or segments.
The advanced tab also allows you To build segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting isn’t quite right.
Finally, before sending, you’ll get to the’Schedule’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, if that’s immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your readers time zones.
Impressive, right? Miller Lite Beer Calories
Managing Your Clients
Having granular control over your subscribers is arguably one of The most important aspects of any email marketing program now.
Because highly personalized campaigns Are Essential if You’re searching to increase clicks, opens, and, most importantly, your own conversions.
And while many providers Permit You to”tag” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll see two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are basically rules.
Your readers belong to a section only when they meet the Specified rules, and are automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here is what setting up a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can also blend Rules, in addition to another rule if the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The following tab is for classes, and also the difference in name, These behave much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but finally decided against it)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are updated manually or via an Automation principle — that we’ll get into in a moment — and they have no value besides what you actually call them.
As you Begin to use this platform, you’ll Start to understand Where Segments and Groups are generally used, however, MailerLite delivers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate activity on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to lump multiple contributors together according to a frequent denominator.
A tad confusing, I’ll admit… but I believe it’s a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. Besides, they are discretionary.
Finally, the’Fields’ tab is used to personalize your email copy.
You will notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own fields, such as name, company, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV record of your readers along with Your custom field information in separate columns… or can easily add these fields to your forms which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I created and added into a form:
I will not go too much into the form Stuff here since I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wanted to use this feature.
Again, once you’ve collected your custom field data from fresh Readers, you are able to pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I’m barely scraping the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it’s important to understand this is a feature you can use.
Overall, it’s reasonable to state MailerLite has their subscriber Management and personalization features on point. Miller Lite Beer Calories
If you are not impressed with what you’ve seen so far, then perhaps The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, then you will be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Isn’t winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic foundation to work from if, like most of us, you don’t have that natural eye for design.
I went ahead and chosen the’Lead Generation’ template, however They all ultimately do the same task; accumulate an email address.
This time, the editor will give you 17 building blocks to Further construct or change your landing page.
Now, I have used my fair share of Visual page builders, and this is better than some dedicated alternatives *Infection * WPBakery.
Together with the fundamental building blocks, you can use elements like Hero segments, popup buttons, testimonials and countdown timers.
No, it will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all three kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email advertising tools, MailerLite really Provides a Decent pair of form building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this exact same interface, so there’s a whole lot to cover .
Let us begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your website to show it on specific pages.
Despite starting off super fundamental, the form designer allows you To personalize everything from the form style, fields, background, name, input fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text can also be edited directly, which Provides you a Opportunity To visualize your backup in real-time.
It would have been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there is more to a form than simply its appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will Make It Possible for you to configure how the Form works, such as adding extra fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There’s a GDPR compliance option. Sweet.)
And talking of the success page…
…MailerLite also enables you to customize the default message, Which will replace the embedded form and prevents users from redirecting.
Last but surely not least, you Can assess how your form screens on mobile by shifting the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t be able to make any design changes here, but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that’s an overview of this Embedded form but like I said before, you may even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the Vast Majority of the setup process is identical, there are Still a few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth choice, they do offer a fantastic foundation to work from and the editor is just as simple to use with this form kind.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template requires me to a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are a few new options under form types This time around:
Contemplating paid tools such as Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it is pretty impressive to see this amount of control over popup forms.
And, as before, you can play with the styling options to get it Matched up with your own branding.
Last, you can Select the near Behaviour of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text option, or have .
This is really where most email Marketing platforms will render you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your campaign Statistics in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber development, automation stats, and form signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you special coverage for this campaign.
This is where you’ll discover some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading surroundings, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but in Case You really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into individual areas of the report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems under These reports.
By Way of Example, the’View Mail’ tab also displays a click map, so It’s possible to see your subscribers interacted with your emails compared to one another.
Reports for automations are also Available under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found these to be less enlightening than campaign reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting port, and most will find the available data more than sufficient to fulfill their demands.
What is email marketing with no dashboard of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this review.
The good news? If you’ve used a visual workflow builder, then You’ll immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is easy, clean and simple to navigate — something which certainly can’t be said for each and every email marketing program.
After setting your trigger, you can Start adding steps to your workflow.
These measures can be anything from sending an email, including a Delay, a conditional split, or an action, such as transferring a contributor or updating their records.
Here’s a simple workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed when they don’t open my email within 7 days.
There are innumerable Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations similar to this, and MailerLite should have no trouble with the vast majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks some of the conditional components. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s currently no automation for transferring Readers directly into another automation.
That being said, most of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various classes that trigger new automation workflows. It is just much less effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficiency here is when creating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you will be asked to add your subject line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will fire up the Writer:
Now, you’ll be temporarily Redirected to the typical campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, as Soon as You’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you back to the automations workflow rather than the usual sending alternatives.
Ultimately, your email will be Loaded into your automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation cube, so you can get an concept about what it contains at a glimpse.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on newspaper, it’s really much faster than what I’m used to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
On the other hand, if you have come over from something such as ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, you will probably find that this downgrade in functionality.
It is quick enough for me, Personally, but I guess it is all relative.
Before I wrap up this segment, there is 1 type of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, and that I think that it’s very important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or measure ) based on how Readers interact with all the webpages on your website.
This kind of behavioral targeting only is not accessible MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or plan to use, you might want to skip this one. Miller Lite Beer Calories
The cost of MailerLite is one of those tools biggest Selling points, and let us face it, most of us love a fantastic deal.
For starters, they offer an unlimited free plan that includes All features (including premium) for up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your emails using this program, it’s still an wonderful alternative for anyone starting out.
And what about the premium plans?
It ends up, at approximately half of the Price of this rivalry generally, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the least expensive options on the industry. Plus, if you are willing to pay annually, you can also get an even better discount.
In fact, I haven’t been able to locate anything that does the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is among those email marketing tools The (very crowded) industry in the last couple of years, which is no simple feat.
While it’s not as quickly as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and at a price point you’ll seriously struggle to beat.
Thinking about giving it a twist? Let us know how it works for you In the remarks. Miller Lite Beer Calories
