Intro Miller Lite Health
If I asked you to name an email Marketing instrument, what could you say? Miller Lite Health
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like most online businesses today, email marketing has been Dominated by the identical big players for the previous ten years. Which means that they get encouraged very deeply and achieve a great deal of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, causing long-time users to question their loyalties.

Like most email advertising providers Nowadays, You’ll Need to Go through a review process before being able to correctly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information like your company name, website, Industry, address, business size, record size and also the type of content you intend to send.
Then, You Have to verify your Site (or domain name).
This is still part of the acceptance process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is related to this domain so they could email you a confirmation link.
Once you’ve completed these Steps, you ought to wait it out.
The MailerLite staff will review your application, check your Site, and determine whether you’re a fantastic fit for their service.
(Quite simply, they’re making sure you’re not a spammer/scammer)
As revealed above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to utilize the software to make campaigns and perform with the attributes, but you will not be able to send anything until accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here Is What the email said:
However, while these measures aren’t ideal for getting started, it Does help prevent malicious users from hurting everyone else’s deliverability.
If you are anything like me, you’ll rely upon automations to Deal with Nearly all your email advertising.
(We’ll get to automations soon, don’t worry.)
But if it’s a brand new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there’s always a reason to send a more instant email.
That is where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Produce Campaign’ will give you several options.
– Regular campaign: A Conventional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Versions, including subject line, from name and, yes, even content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Don’t start your broadcast email, together with the choice of altering the subject line and email articles.
– RSS effort: Produce a recurring campaign That sends new content to readers using your site’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few added choices, the Majority of these will follow The same step-by-step procedure of a standard effort.
So let’s walk you through it.
Once you click to create your campaign, you’ll be requested to Pick a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
You can change to the Templates tab and choose from among the pre-designed email templates — which will move you into the dragn’ drop editor .
At the time of writing, there are 21 email templates to select From which is a little on the low side, but the layouts are super contemporary.
And, of course, if you’d just Prefer to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I’ll choose the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to work with, Making viewing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also utilize the blocks in the sidebar to include different Kinds of content to your email, such as videos, product columns, and social links.
After making your adjustments, just click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be taken to the recipients’ options where you can select your classes or sections.
The advanced tab also allows one To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in case your targeting is not quite right.
Finally, before sending, then you’ll get to the’Program’ screen.
This is where you control if your broadcast email should go Out, if that’s instantly, at a set time/date, or according to your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Miller Lite Health
Handling Your Subscribers
Having granular control over your readers is arguably one of The most essential facets of any email advertising software now.
Because highly personalized efforts are necessary if You are looking to increase clicks, opens, and, most importantly, your own conversions.
And while many providers allow you to”tag” subscribers in order To target them more effectively, MailerLite utilizes a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dash, you’ll notice two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially rules.
Your subscribers belong to a segment only when they meet the Specified principles, and will be automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here’s what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice how you can even combine Rules, as well as an alternate rule if the first does not exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The following tab is for groups, and despite the difference in name, These act much like your usual”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the title to’Tags’, but finally decided against it.)
Unlike Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation principle — which we’ll get into in a moment — and they don’t have any value besides what you actually call them.
As you start to use this stage, you’ll Start to understand At which Segments and Groups are typically used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Fundamentally, groups are more of a Deliberate action on a per-subscriber basis, whereas Segments allow you to lump multiple subscribers together according to a frequent denominator.
A tad confusing, I will admit… but I believe it is a fair trade-off For the additional flexibility. In any case, they are discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to customize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their own areas, such as title, business, and nation.
If You Would like to create your own custom fields, you can do this by Clicking on the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they actually work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers along with Your custom field information in separate columns… or may easily add these fields to your types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I created and added to a form:
I will not go too much into the form Stuff here because I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I’d recommend if you wanted to use this attribute.
Again, once you’ve gathered your custom field data from new Subscribers, you are able to pull them into your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I’m barely scraping the surface Of what’s possible with custom fields, but it is important that you know that this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it is fair to say MailerLite has their contributor Direction and personalization features on point. Miller Lite Health
If you’re not impressed with what you have seen so far, then maybe The page builder will tickle your fancy.
After selecting’Landing Pages’ in the forms page, then you will be Able to pick from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template selection Is not winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic base to work from if, for example the majority of us, you do not have that pure eye for layout.
I went ahead and selected the’Lead Generation’ template, though They all ultimately do the same job; collect an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further build or alter your landing page.
Now, I’ve used my fair share of Visual site builders, and it is already better than a few dedicated solutions *Infection * WPBakery.
Together with the basic building blocks, you can use elements like Hero sections, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
It won’t be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or even LeadPagesanytime soon, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all three kind types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite really Provides a Adequate pair of type building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there’s a lot to cover here.
Let’s begin with your Bog-standard embedded type.
These forms are first created inside MailerLite so as to get An embed code, which you can then put on your website to show it on particular pages.
Despite beginning super basic, the form designer allows you To personalize everything in the form style, fields, background, title, input fields and, clearly, the button.
Form text can also be edited directly, which Provides you a chance To envision your own backup in real time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there is more to a form than simply its appearance.
Clicking on the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure the way the Form functions, including adding additional fields and setting a custom success page.
(There’s a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success page…
…MailerLite also enables you to customize the default message, Which can replace the embedded kind also prevents users from redirecting.
Last but certainly not least, you Can assess the way your form screens on cellular by shifting the toggle to responsive mode.
You won’t Have the Ability to make any layout changes here, but it makes Sense to test, nevertheless.
So that is an Summary of the Embedded form but like I said before, you may also create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the Vast Majority of this installation process is identical, you will find Still a few differences I’d love to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most Comprehensive selection, they do provide a fantastic foundation to work from and the editor is at least as simple to use for this form type.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template takes me to a preview Before moving to the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new choices under form types Now around:
Contemplating paid programs like Thrive Leads exist for both ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to observe this level of control over popup forms.
And, like before, you can play the styling options to get it Matched with your branding.
Finally, you can choose the near Behavior of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is that the X icon, but you can swap out this for A”No thanks” text choice, or have .
That is where most email Marketing platforms would leave you, but MailerLite has one more trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like many tools, you’ll find a summary of your effort Data in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from campaign open and click data, Subscriber development, automation stats, and form signups.
Clicking into any effort will Give you specific coverage for that effort.
This is where you’ll find some statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading surroundings, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary user…
…but in Case You really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into individual areas of this report for a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
For example, the’View Email’ tab also shows a click map, so It’s possible to see your readers interacted to another.
Reports for automations will also be Available under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found to be less enlightening than campaign reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting interface, and many will get the available data more than sufficient to meet their demands.
What is email marketing without a dashboard of automation?
For many reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could simply make or break this particular review.
The good news? If you have used a visual workflow builder, You will instantly feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, That the automations interface is simple, clean and easy to navigate — something that certainly can not be said for each and every email marketing program.
After establishing your trigger, you can begin adding steps to your workflow.
These measures could be anything from sending an email, adding a Postpone, a conditional split, or an act, such as moving a contributor or upgrading their records.
Here’s a simple workflow I set together, where readers Are unsubscribed if they do not open my email within seven days.
There are innumerable Possibilities when it comes to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite should not have any trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something such as ActiveCampaign because it lacks a number of the conditional elements. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.)
For Instance, there’s now no automation for moving Subscribers directly into another automation.
That being said, the Majority of these actions can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various classes that trigger new automation workflows. It’s simply not as effective…. yet.
Another question of efficacy here is when generating new emails From the automation workflow builder.
After adding an email block to The workflow, you will be asked to put in your topic line which appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Writer:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered previously in the critique.
This time, however, once you’ve created your email, clicking the ‘Done editing’ button will direct you straight back to the automations workflow instead of the usual sending options.
Finally, your email will be Loaded into your own automation.
A Wonderful touch here is having a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation cube, so it’s possible to get an concept about what it contains at a glimpse.
While this process may seem like A grind on paper, it’s really much faster than what I am utilized to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a fantastic example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something like ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, so you will probably find that this downgrade in performance.
It is fast enough for me, Personally, but I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there is one type of automation You will not find in MailerLite, also I think it’s important to highlight.
The ability to trigger an automation (or step) based on the way Subscribers interact with the webpages on your site.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just is not accessible MailerLite right now, so if it’s something you use or plan to use, you might want to skip this one. Miller Lite Health
The cost of MailerLite is one of those tools biggest Selling points, and let us face it, most of us love a fantastic bargain.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All features (including premium) to get as many as 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding in your emails using this program, it’s still an amazing alternative for anyone starting out.
And what about the top programs?
It ends up, at around half of the Price of this rivalry generally, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the least expensive options on the industry. Plus, if you’re willing to pay annually, you can also get an even greater discount.
In Reality, I have not been able to find anything that does exactly the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of the very few advertising tools to disrupt The (very crowded) sector in recent years, and that’s no simple feat.
While it is not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at just about anything you can throw at it.
Overall, I find MailerLite strikes the best balance Between flexibility, simplicity and speed, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to conquer.
Thinking of giving it a twist? Let us know how it works for you In the comments. Miller Lite Health
