Intro Red Bull Marketing Email
If I asked you to name an email Marketing instrument, what would you say? Red Bull Marketing Email
MailChimp? Aweber? ActiveCampaign?
Like most online industries today, email advertising continues to be Dominated by the same large players for the previous ten years. Which means that they get promoted very heavily and accomplish a great deal of mindshare.
Now and then, however, an Underdog disrupts the market, inducing long-time users to question their loyalties.
MailerLite has done precisely that.

Like most email advertising providers Nowadays, you will need to Go through a review process before being able to properly use the software.
When you first register, you’ll be asked to complete your profile.
This includes information like your organization name, site, Business, address, business size, list size and also the kind of material you intend to send.
Then, you need to verify your Site (or domain name).
This is still part of the approval process, and MailerLite will Simply inquire which email is associated to this domain so they can email you a confirmation link.
As Soon as You’ve completed those Steps, you’ll need to wait it out.
The MailerLite team will review your application, check your Site, and ascertain whether you are a good match for their service.
(In other words, they are making sure you are not a spammer/scammer)
As shown above, you’ll nevertheless be Able to use the software to make campaigns and perform with the attributes, but you will not have the ability to send anything before accepted.
I had been”partially” approved within a few hours, which gave me a Temporary limit of 500 subscribers.
Here’s what the email said:
However, while these measures are not perfect for getting started, it Does help stop malicious users from damaging everybody’s deliverability.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll rely on automations to handle The majority of your email advertising.
(We will get to automations shortly, don’t worry.)
But if it is a brand new blog article, podcast, or timely Announcement, there is always a reason to send a more instant email.
That is where’Campaigns’ come in.
Clicking the new’Create Campaign’ will provide you several options.
– Regular effort: A traditional broadcast email.
– A/B split campaign: Multiple email Variations, including subject line, from name and, yes, even email content. (Woop!)
– Auto resend: Resend to subscribers who Don’t open your broadcast email, with the choice of changing the subject line and email content.
– RSS campaign: Create a recurring campaign That sends new content to subscribers using your site’s RSS feed.
Aside from a few additional options, most of these will follow The same step-by-step process of a normal effort.
So let us walk you through it.
As Soon as You click to create your effort, you’ll be asked to Select a favorite editor, whether that’s the dragn’ drop, rich text or HTML.
Otherwise, you can change to the Templates tab and select from among their pre-designed email templates — that will move you to the dragn’ drop editor by default.
In the time of writing, you’ll find 21 email templates to choose From which is a little on the low side, but the layouts are super modern.
And, of course, if you would just Like to reuse a previous email, you can click on the’Recent Emails’ tab.
For this instance, I’ll choose the first template from the library.
The editor is easy to use, Which makes customizing these templates a 5-minute job.
You can also use the cubes in the sidebar to add different Kinds of articles to your email, including videos, product columns, and societal connections.
After making your changes, just click’Done Editing’ and you’ll Be carried to the recipients’ choices where you are able to choose your groups or segments.
The advanced tab also allows one To develop segment-like rules on-the-fly, in the event your targeting isn’t quite right.
Finally, before sending, you’ll get into the’Program’ screen.
This is where you control when your broadcast email should go Out, if that is immediately, at a set time/date, or in accordance with your subscribers time zones.
Impressive, right? Red Bull Marketing Email
Managing Your Clients
Possessing granular control over your readers is arguably one of The most essential aspects of any email advertising program now.
Because highly personalized campaigns Are Essential if You are looking to increase opens, clicks, and, above all, your own conversions.
And while most providers allow you to”tag” readers in order To target them effectively, MailerLite uses a slightly different approach.
When you open up your subscriber dashboard, you’ll see two Options; Segments and Groups.
Segments are essentially principles.
Your readers belong to a segment only when they meet the Specified principles, and will be automatically added or removed accordingly.
Here’s what establishing a rule looks like:
Notice the way you can also combine Rules, in addition to an alternate rule when the first doesn’t exist.
Pretty smart, eh?
The next tab is for groups, and despite the difference in name, These act much like your normal”tagging” system.
(MailerLite even debated Changing the name to’Tags’, but finally decided against it)
Contrary to Segments, Groups are upgraded manually or through an Automation rule — which we’ll get to in a minute — and they don’t have any value besides what you call them.
As you start to use this platform, you’ll begin to understand Where Segments and Groups are generally used, but MailerLite offers a hand in case you’re unsure:
Basically, groups are much more of a Deliberate action on a per-subscriber foundation, whereas Segments allow you to bulge multiple subscribers collectively based on a common denominator.
A tad confusing, I’ll admit… but I believe it is a fair trade-off For the added flexibility. Besides, they’re discretionary.
Last, the’Fields’ tab is used to personalize your email copy.
You’ll notice that MailerLite has Already populated this region with their particular areas, such as title, company, and country.
If you want to create your own custom fields, you can do so by Clicking the’Add new field’ button.
So how do they really work?
You can either upload a CSV file of your subscribers along with Your custom field data in separate columns… or may simply add these fields to a types which will only apply to future readers.
Here’s a screenshot of a test field I created and added to a form:
I will not go too much into the shape Stuff here because I have a whole section on this below, but this is the approach I would recommend if you wanted to use this feature.
Again, once you’ve collected your custom field information from new Subscribers, you are able to pull them in to your email content and subject line.
Just click the’Personalization’ drop down and select your Customized field.
I am barely scraping the surface Of what is possible with custom fields, but it is important that you understand this is a feature you may use.
Overall, it is reasonable to state MailerLite has their subscriber Direction and personalization features on point. Red Bull Marketing Email
If you are not impressed with what you have seen up to Now, then maybe The webpage builder will tickle your fancy.
After choosing’Landing Pages’ from the forms page, you will be Able to select from 8 pre-designed templates.
Again, while the template choice Isn’t winning any awards, but it does offer a fantastic foundation to work from if, for example the majority of us, you do not have that pure eye for design.
I went ahead and selected the’Lead Generation’ template, though They finally do the identical job; accumulate an email address.
This time, the editor will Provide you 17 building blocks to Further construct or alter your landing page.
Now, I have used my fair share of Visual site builders, and this is already better than some dedicated solutions *cough* WPBakery.
Together with the basic building blocks, you can use elements like Hero segments, popup buttons, reviews and countdown timers.
No, it will not be replacing landing Page builders such as Thrive Architect or LeadPagesanytime shortly, but credit where credit due, this thing over-delivers on all three form types.
Form Builder Tool
Unlike some email marketing tools, MailerLite actually Provides a Decent set of type building tools.
Not only that, but you can also create popups and landing pages Through this same interface, so there is a whole lot to cover here.
Let’s start with your Bog-standard embedded form.
These forms are created inside MailerLite in order to get An embed code, which you can then put on your website to show it on specific pages.
Despite beginning super fundamental, the form designer allows you To customize everything in the form style, fields, background, name, input fields and, of course, the button.
Form text may also be edited directly, which gives you a chance To visualize your backup in real-time.
It would’ve been nice to have Some templates, but as you know, there’s more to a form than just its physical appearance.
Clicking the’Settings’ tab will allow you to configure the way the Form works, including adding additional fields and establishing a custom success page.
(There is even a GDPR compliance alternative. Sweet.)
And speaking of the success webpage…
…MailerLite also lets you customize the default message, That can replace the embedded form also prevents users .
Last but surely not least, you Can assess how your form screens on cellular by shifting the toggle to reactive mode.
You won’t Have the Ability to make any layout changes , but it makes Sense to check, nevertheless.
So that is an overview of this Embedded form but like I said before, you may even create popup forms in MailerLite.
While the majority of the setup process is identical, you will find A few differences I’d like to point out.
Unlike embedded forms, you can choose between a set of Templates:
While this isn’t the most In depth selection, they do provide a good foundation to work from and the editor is just as easy to use with this form type.
Clicking the’E-commerce’ template requires me into a preview Before moving into the editor.
Here, you’ll notice there are some new options under form types This time around:
Considering paid tools such as Thrive Leads exist for ribbons and slide-in forms, it’s pretty impressive to observe this amount of control over popup types.
And, as before, you can perform the styling options to get it Matched up with your branding.
Finally, you can choose the close Behavior of your form under the’Settings’ tab.
The default option is the X icon, but you can swap this out for A”No thanks” text option, or have .
This is where most email Marketing platforms would render you, but MailerLite has yet another trick up its sleeve.
Reporting & Analytics
Like most tools, you’ll find a summary of your campaign Statistics in the dashboard.
Here you’ll see everything from effort open and click info, Subscriber growth, automation analytics, and kind signups.
Clicking into any campaign will Give you special reporting for this effort.
This is where you’ll find some more advanced statistics such as Unsubscribes, spam complaints, bounces, reading surroundings, email client and more.
This should be plenty of Information for the ordinary consumer…
…but if you really want To dig into the numbers, you can click into different areas of this report to get a more detailed breakdown.
You can find some real gems beneath These reports.
By Way of Example, the’View Mail’ tab also displays a click map, so You can see precisely how your subscribers interacted with your mails compared to one another.
Reports for automations will also be Available under the’Automations’ tab, even although I found to be less enlightening than effort reports.
Here’s a quick example:
Total, MailerLite does a Stellar job with their reporting port, and many will find the available statistics more than sufficient to fulfill their needs.
What is email marketing with no dash of automation?
For most reading this, MailerLite’s automation capabilities Could easily make or break this review.
The good news? If you have used a visual workflow builder, then You will immediately feel at home here…
Much like the rest of MailerLite, The automations interface is easy, clean and easy to navigate — something that certainly can not be said for every email advertising program.
After setting your trigger, you can begin adding measures to your workflow.
These steps can be anything from sending an email, including a Postpone, a bubble break, or an act, like transferring a subscriber or upgrading their records.
Here’s a straightforward workflow I put together, where subscribers Are unsubscribed if they don’t open my email within seven days.
There are innumerable Possibilities in regards to workflow automations like this, and MailerLite ought to have no trouble with the huge majority of use cases.
Granted, it is not quite as Feature-rich as something like ActiveCampaign since it lacks some of the conditional elements. (Split, Visit, Goal, etc.. )
For Instance, there’s now no automation for moving Readers directly into a different automation.
That being said, most of these activities can still be achieved by moving Subscribers into various groups that activate new automation workflows. It is just much less effective…. yet.
Another matter of efficiency here is when creating new mails In the automation workflow builder.
After having an email cube to The workflow, you will be asked to add your subject line which then appears on the block itself.
From there, clicking the’Design email’ button will automatically fire up the Editor:
Now, you’ll be briefly Redirected to the standard campaign creation wizard, which I covered earlier in the critique.
This time, but as Soon as You’ve established your email, clicking on the ‘Done editing’ button will guide you back to the automations workflow rather than the usual sending options.
Finally, your email will probably be Loaded into your automation.
A nice touch here is using a thumbnail preview of your Email inside your automation block, which means it’s possible to get an concept about what it contains at a glance.
While this procedure may seem like A grind on newspaper, it is really much quicker than what I am utilized to with other email marketing tools — ActiveCampaign being a great example.
On the other hand, if you’ve come over from something like ConvertKit where The editor is loaded within the automations builder, you’ll likely find that this downgrade in performance.
It is quick enough for me, Personally, however I guess it’s all relative.
Before I wrap up this section, there’s one Kind of automation You won’t find in MailerLite, also I think it’s important to highlight.
The ability to activate an automation (or step) based on how Readers interact with all the webpages on your site.
This Sort of behavioral targeting just isn’t accessible MailerLite at this time, so if it’s something you use or intend to use, you might want to skip this one. Red Bull Marketing Email
The Price of MailerLite is one of the tools largest Selling things, and let us face it, most of us love a good deal.
For starters, they offer an infinite free plan that includes All features (including premium) to get up to 1,000 subscribers.
While there is some subtle Branding on your emails using this plan, it’s still an amazing option for those starting out.
And what about the premium programs?
It ends up, at around half the Cost of the competition on average, MailerLite is undoubtedly among the cheapest options available on the market. Plus, if you are ready to pay annually, you can also get a much greater discount.
In fact, I haven’t been able to locate anything that does exactly the Exact Same job, cheaper.
MailerLite is one of the email marketing tools The (very crowded) industry in recent years, and that’s no simple feat.
While it’s not as fast as ConvertKit, or as feature-rich As ActiveCampaign, or as template-heavy as MailChimp, it performs exceptionally well at virtually anything you can throw at it.
Overall, I find MailerLite strikes the perfect balance Between flexibility, speed and simplicity, and all at a price point you will seriously struggle to conquer.
Thinking of giving it a spin? Let us know how it works for you In the remarks. Red Bull Marketing Email
